Dancing Without Doc Martens is Risky for Your Health

The most amazing shoes I ever wore were Doc Martens. I wore a pair of black 15-eyelet lace up Doc Martens boots. A buddy and I attended to a Nine Inch Nails concert at the Staples Center. I remember removing one of my Doc Martens boot and using it as a way to try and get the attention of Trent Reznor, needless to say that didn’t work. Everyone was moving and jumping up and down. The pandemonium moved through the building. I’m glad I put my Doc Martens boots back on, because as the peeps around me got more excited, and jumped up more and more, this humongous guy landed on my foot. But because I was wearing my Doc Martens boots I didn’t feel a thing. My friend was not so fortunate, she was wearing flip flips and some of her toenail came off in all the hubbub.

I told her whenever you go to a event with lots of folks it’s best to wear boots, preferably Doc Martens because they are really durable. Since the Nine Inch Nails concert I’ve seen Tool, 311, The Pixies and a Nirvana Tribute band, and each time I’ve worn those black Doc Martens and my feet are still safe. I advise anyone, especially petite girls, going to a rock event to wear boots, and not super soft boots – hardcore, rugged durable boots, like Doc Martens. Even one Doc Marten Boot is worth more than 10 flip flops when a 220 lbs dude hyped up on testosterone decides to start a mosh pit on your foot.
