Are there scholarships for high school Seniors that plan to obtain a college degree in business?
I live in Louisiana and it’s very hard to find scholarships of any kind that don’t pertain to nursing.
So, I would just like to know if there were any business scholarships, or maybe even scholarships for film students.
i would try fastweb first, also the first two links i have listed have a TON of info on them. FAFSA is a gov grant, and i believe they will pay for any education. call some of the state colleges and ask for the finantial aid dept. then ask them if they have any info for help (tell them you are considering their school).
http://www.osfa.state.la.us/
(click on the subjects on the left also, great info there)
try to aim for grants/scholarships more… they are not to be paid back. its confusing sometimes, but just keep applying.
every big (and small) company you see (manufacturer, orgs, corps and groups also) all have grants and scholarships they hand out like candy. Walmart, Kmart, Target, Coke, computer companies etc etc etc
heres a link with a HUGE amount of some available. some you will need to copy and paste into a new window. also, fastweb (take the time to fill it in) will search databases and get back to you with a list of scholarships you qualify for.
Also contact all mens, womens associations in your state, they almost always have grants & scholarships. What ever field you are going into, contact the orgs, associations etc for them; Also check with professional organizations related to your career interests, such as the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association. they also always have scholarships. Research and dig, call then write. Its all worth it.
OVER apply; it doesnt hurt to have too many, and the extra funds can help with housing.

1. Talk to your librarian.
2. Talk to the financial aid office at one of the colleges you would like to attend.
3. Go online and search for scholarships.
There is a large quantity of funding available to you in any field of interest. You need to spend the time hunting for it.

Yes, there are thousands of scholarships for just about anything including wearing duct tape to the senior prom. It might be an idea to expand past your state borders to locate a business scholarship. All of these sources are free to locate scholarships and free to apply for a scholarship.
First, current high school students can locate local scholarships at the guidance office.
Second, the individual college financial aid office has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes the college major’s website will list scholarships, too.
Third, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some of them listed not on the web.
Fourth, apply using the FAFSA form because it will tap into need based financial aid from the state and federal governments along with the college itself.
Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. It lists scholarships based on college majors and just about anything else. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered into a form on their website.
Good luck!
